🌼 Peruvian Lily ~ FLOWER OF THE DAY 🌼

Long-lived perennial, Peruvian Lily are the perfect flower to give to another to declare your support, to offer friendship and to inspire good fortune. You can also include them in your home, office or event to bring people closer together and to add a little prosperity to an occasion, (especially workplace meetings).
A native of the Mountains of Peru, they will need some sun but will tolerate semi~shade in the garden. Plant from bulbs (easiest) or seeds and plants can be divided by trimming back plant and then lifting rhizomes. They do love water but be careful you do not over do it!

🌻🌼 FLOWER OF THE DAY ~ Buttercup (Ranunculus acris)

Buttercup (Ranunculus acris)

Buttercup quote

A lovely flower to surround yourself or a friend in need with, if you need cheering up or a renewal of hope in any way.
As a Flower Oracle, they will also remind you that you could miss an opportunity if you are not ready to act and they warn that you may need to be a little more humble at the moment.
In mythology, one story tells us that Ranunculus was a beautiful poet who had a lovely voice and adored singing... too much! He disturbed the peace of the forest and all of the inhabitants so much that the Gods turned him into a Buttercup so he could wander about singing as much as he liked, free in the meadows.

There is a lovely childhood game that you may be familiar with ~ holding a buttercup under your chin will indicate that you like butter! If the glow of the flower is visible on your face, then you do. A variation on this will mean that you as as good as gold.

bunches of love and blessings,
